Application

QVC type pumps are typical low-middle-pressure pumps for waterworks and cooling. They are using especially in public utilities and industrial pumping stations for drinking and non-potable water supplying, in power stations for cooling by water in condensational systems. In addition to this they have a wide range of uses in other industrial and water supplying systems, to the aims of pumping, circulating, cooling, watering and others.

Construction

QVC pumps are designed as volute centrifugal single-stage ones. The impeller has double entry. They are symmetric and with horizontally divided casing in the direction of the shaft axis. This enables easy and fast disassembly of the rotor which may be taken out from the casing in the upward direction so that it is unnecessary to detach neither the suction and discharge pipes nor the larger space in the axis direction. The hydraulic space of the pump is stuffed by two sided shaft packing with soft rope packing, or the mechanical seals could be used.

LN - volute, impeller - grey cast iron, shaft - constructional steel
LB - impeller - bronze, shaft - constructional steel, other parts as version LN
LO - impeller - steel, supplying for sizes 250-QVC-530, 300-QVC-600
